San Antonio Pets Alive! welcomes the season of gratitude feeling loved and thankful for all of our volunteers, donors, and supporters who continue to make our lifesaving work possible.

In September, San Antonio Pets Alive! surpassed our Big Give goal, raising $99,165! Your gifts will help sustain our critical programs and services. Thank you for all of your gifts and overwhelming support!

We are excited to be participating in Bissell's Pet Foundation Empty the Shelters adoption event this week! BISSELL Pet Foundation is sponsoring reduced fee adoptions from October 4 until October 10th. Kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs that are adopted at one of our locations will have an adoption fee of $25 (ambassador animals do not apply). Please help spread the word to anyone looking for a new furry companion!

Thank you for your support and encouragement in our lifesaving mission. Together, we are saving precious lives and making a difference in our community!

Your Support Made this Possible!

Headin' Home Transport Program

This year, our transport team successfully transported several pups up North to Wisconsin. We have also collaborated with Dog is My CoPilot to transport 14 dogs to Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho.

We are thrilled to announce that many of those dogs have found their forever homes!

Thank you, Petco Love, Valero Energy, fosters, donors, and volunteers, for making these transports possible! It is because of all of you that these lucky pups have a second chance to live a beautiful life!

The San Antonio Pets Alive! transport team is working diligently for our next transport that will take place next week! Twenty-eight of our dogs are currently scheduled to head to Wisconsin next Tuesday. We humbly ask that you consider sponsoring a dog for $150 so he or she can find the love, comfort, and forever family he or she deserves.

Help Us Find Our Forever Home!

Below are two of our many available animals available for adoption. Tayt and Cami are both looking for their forever family and are participating in the Empty the Shelters adoption event.

Initially fearful and shy, Tayt, a 7-year-old Chihuahua, short coat mix has blossomed into a sweet senior who loves to have his tummy rubbed and ears scratched. He is more than happy to cuddle up with his doggy siblings and snuggle with the humans in the house. His fear of cats has turned into curiosity. He is very protective of his food bowl. Rather than play with toys, he'd rather wrestle with his doggy siblings, but he can get a bit rough with them on occasion.

Cami is a beautiful, shy, and reserved one and half-year-old cat. Cami has lived all of her life in a shelter and is patiently waiting for someone to finally adopt her. Cami was brought into our care along with her two other siblings, Pami and Sami. Pami and Sami were quickly adopted as small kittens. Sadly, that was not the case for Cami. Cami is a very shy cat who likes to keep to herself. She is very independent and has a hard time warming up to people. Cami deserves to be able to explore the world and have a family to provide the love she needs so she can break out of her shell.

Kennel Sponsorships

Thank you, Lisa, for sponsoring two of our kennels at our Medical Care Center!

"When I discovered that San Antonio Pets Alive! had a kennel sponsorship program,  I immediately knew that would be my opportunity to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs. I made the easy decision to sponsor two kennels. It's very heartbreaking to know we in San Antonio have such a large homeless pet population.

One of my favorite quotes is 'Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog the world will change forever.'- Karen Davison"
