Dear Lifesaving Partners,

It’s my pleasure to bring you an update regarding upcoming projects for San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!).   width=

SAPA!  is yet again on track to exceed its lifesaving commitment to the city of San Antonio and San Antonio Animal Care Services.  SAPA! is proud of its partnership with Animal Care Services and together the organizations work hand-in-hand to create solutions to save lives.

To continue our lifesaving mission, I am striving for ways to diversify organizational revenue and make SAPA! stronger.

Our team is attempting to raise $50,000 for a board restricted operating reserve by December 31st.  Establishing an operating reserve provides a savings account for future programs and organizational needs.

Another way to diversify revenue is by opening a Thrift Store.  Thrift stores provide a revenue stream for nonprofits. Thrift Stores operating for the benefit of animal welfare organizations have proven to be an effective way to generate revenue for programs.  We are in the early stages of identifying a location with a goal to have the store open within the next six months.

We are gearing up for our first annual Paws for Celebration Fundraising Dinner.  Our chair, Tracey Lammert, and committee are working diligently to ensure it is a fantastic event and that we reach our fundraising goal of $75,000.  Please save the date of October 19th and be sure to let me know if you’d like to buy tickets or a table.

During the course of a year, more than 5,500 dogs and cats receive lifesaving help from a variety of services provided by San Antonio Pets Alive!.  Our daily interactions with these loving pets is an urgent reminder of the need for our services, and strengthens my resolve that one day every dog and cat in our community will be valued, happy and supported by a loving family. Until then, San Antonio Pets Alive! is family.

You are the reason for our ongoing success in changing the future for homeless dogs and cats. Because of your gifts of time and money, we can continue bringing hope to life through our mission-essential programs.

Thank you,

Rebecca Mayberry
