San Antonio Pets Alive! continues to assist more dogs and cats from areas hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Community involvement is one of the organization’s most urgent needs. While SAPA! has continued its efforts to combat euthanasia at the San Antonio city shelter, an additional 300 cats and dogs have been taken in from areas from the Texas Coastal Bend.
San Antonio Pets Alive! will continue to help our neighbors in-need, but must have help from the community. The recovery efforts are extensive and the affected areas will need our help for months to come. Volunteers and Fosters are always welcome and donations from the public help support our mission. Volunteers are always one of our primary needs and we have many roles available including walking dogs, cat and kitten attendants and more! Become a Volunteer Now!
For fosters, SAPA! is offering both dogs and cats in varying commitments. Upcoming transports will allow for dog foster commitments of only one short week. For citizens who may prefer felines, SAPA! has cats and kittens of all ages who could benefit from being in a home atmosphere to decompress or heal from temporary illnesses. Become a Foster!
