Approximately 60% of the animals we pull from the euthanasia list have an illness or injury. We can’t save them all – but we try. Baby kittens, baby puppies, distemper, parvo and severe injuries are probably the hardest to save. But we believe they deserve a chance – if we have resources through your donations, fosters, adopters, space we will try. We had help treating Miracle, the dog found near the railroad tracks with severe injuries. THANK YOU!!!!!! Look what YOU did!! Perhaps you saw her story on KSAT? If not, please check it out. She had surgery and her wounds cleared up. She had to have a second sedated procedure yesterday to relieve swelling and re-suture her leg amputation site. But before that here she is STANDING in the yard – she isn’t out of the woods yet, she is anemic and drained, and has other lacerations, she mostly is sleeping and resting, but she is able to stand,. We also had this pup yesterday who it turns out has several severe breaks in her legs. Its pretty severe as one break is in her elbow area. Please consider donating to her fund. We have over 12,000 followers on Facebook – imagine what we could do if 10,000 donated $30.00? We could do SO much! Here’s Miracle (pics at end of this page), and the little baby with broken legs…..poor baby needs quite a bit of surgical intervention. SAPA saves with YOUR help! Love, SAPA!
