Thank You For Fostering!
As a foster parent, you have access to a number of resources that will help to make your foster experience successful. If you ever have any questions and/or concerns about your foster animal, please email the Foster Team:
If you are a brand new foster and not sure where to start, we highly recommend checking the animals that we have at our Paul Jolly Center for Pet Adoptions! These dogs have been in our care for a while, so they have passed their quarantine and we can provide you with more insight into their personality and temperament.
You are responsible for ensuring that your animal receives routine and preventative medical care. However, if the team has not contacted you and you know that a vaccine or other medical need is due, please contact the Scheduling Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any other medical questions, please contact the Foster Medical Team at email@example.com.
All SAPA animals over 2 months of age (and healthy) must be spayed or neutered. Please complete the Surgery Schedule Request Form to schedule your foster’s surgery. If you have any questions or you are not able to make your appointment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finding a permanent home for a foster animal is a collaborative process between SAPA and the foster parent. Foster parents are encouraged to market their foster animal on their own, but all adoptions must be completed using SAPA adoption procedures with a certified SAPA Adoption Counselor.
